What is the DO.NET "Light" version?

Identical to the "light" version of DicomObjects.COM, it is a version which only allows Image reading and displaying. It is a special version intended for those users wishing to burn large numbers of viewers onto CDs given to patients or their referring physicians.

How can I get a copy of DO.NET "light" version?

First of all, you need to strong name your DO.NET based application. Check this article for more information on Strong-Name Signing for Managed Applications.

Then send us your strong-named application. We will then extract the public key part and make a special version of DicomObjects.NET which will ONLY work with your application.

Do I need a special License Key to activate the "light" version?

NO. It is impossible to ask everyone, who has been given a CD with your viewer application on, to do a online/offline DicomObjects activation before they can run your viewer application. This is also part of the reason why we ask you to strong-name your viewer application. The special version will bypass the license activation part and check the strong name of your application.

Licensing Terms

Identical to the COM version. Base price is 2000 UK pounds per hospital site per year, with a 50% discount for 2nd and subsequent hospital sites billed through the same account.
